OurpriorstudieshaveidentifiedtheroleofapoA-Ibindingprotein(AIBP)andcholesteroleffluxintheregulationofangiogenesisandhematopoiesis(Nature,CircRes,andScience).AIBPisasecretedproteinandwehaveidentifiedseveralcandidatereceptors.WewillinvestigatehowAIBPreceptormediatesAIBPsignalinginangiogenesisandhematopoiesisusingbiochemical,crystallization,andcellbiologymethods.Ph.Dresearcherswhoarefamiliarwithmousemodelsandhaveextensiveexperienceonangiogenesisandhematopoiesisareencouragedtoapply.
